Installing EDGE
Most of the job is removing and refitting your stock lockdown bar, which every pinball owner does when lifting the playfield glass.
Before you start
- Turn the machine off
- Have your coin door key ready
- Clear the area in front of the cabinet so the glass has somewhere safe to go if you remove it
Steps
- Open the coin door and locate the lockdown bar release lever inside the cabinet, near the top of the coin door opening.
- Operate the release and lift the lockdown bar straight up and off the cabinet.
- Fit EDGE to the bar following the instructions supplied with your order for your specific machine.
- Set the bar back in place, engage the release so the bar locks down, and close the coin door.
- Check that the bar is fully seated and the glass cannot slide before you play.
Lever position and release style vary by manufacturer and era. If your machine looks different, check its operator manual or send us a photo and we will walk you through it.
